How to Unlock Potty Mouth in Borderlands 4
Complete Siege and Destroy First
You must complete the "Siege and Destroy" main mission before the Potty Mouth side quest becomes available. This mission serves as a prerequisite that introduces key characters and locations.

Once unlocked, head to Embracer's Buff in the northern part of Lopside. You'll find the sentient toilet containing GenIVIV waiting to give you the mission.

1. Talk to GenIVIV
Find Mayor Payne
Enter the building left of the toilet and head upstairs to talk to the town leader, Mayor Payne, who has some concerns about the talking toilet.
Use the Clap Signal
Return to the toilet and talk to GenIVIV. Then, climb on the roof using your grappling hook and interact with the computer to activate the Clap Signal.
Help Claptrap Get Unstuck
Claptrap will arrive and get his head stuck in the toilet. Flush GenIVIV out, pull the lever on the left side, then smack Claptrap with a melee attack to free him.
Acquire the Broomba
Head back to the building and smack the Broomba on the ground floor, then take it. Place it in front of Claptrap so he can start transferring GenIVIV to it.
2. Find New Body for GenIVIV
Head to Order Depot
Make your way northeast to the Order depot, located in the center of Grindstone of the Worthy, near the Crawlcroft Bunker. Eliminate all enemies in the area first!
Get the Experimental Model
Enter the depot and talk to Claptrap. Interact with the computer next to the door to open the experimental model closet and retrieve the experimental model.
Build New Body & Defend
Go outside and place the constructor bot to build a new body for GenIVIV. Defend against the counterattack and eliminate the Order heavy that arrives.
3. Put an End to GenIVIV
Follow to The Decked Sprawl
Follow GenIVIV to the ripper camp in The Decked Sprawl, just north of the Order depot. Help GenIVIV eliminate the rippers outside the entrance.
Fight Through Rippers
Enter The Decked Sprawl and continue fighting Rippers alongside GenIVIV. Watch as she becomes increasingly aggressive and bloodthirsty.
Destroy GenIVIV
As GenIVIV becomes more bloodlusted, she will hack into other enemies and eventually turn on you. Eliminate GenIVIV and put an end to her rampage.
Visit Moxxi's Bar
After destroying GenIVIV, collect her core and take it to Moxxi's Bottoms Up in the southwest part of the Ruined Sumplands.
Make Your Choice
You're then given the choice to either give GenIVIV to Moxxi to erase her AI or place GenIVIV into the sound system next to the bar.
