Claptrap, owner of the galaxy's scrawniest pair of arms, has nonetheless opened a climbing gym. Is the place legit or just a sad grift? Only one way to find out: by passing Claptrap's three muscle-shredding climbing challenges that will test your jumping, climbing, and grappling skills.
Starting Location: Peak Performance
This mission starts in the north of Cuspid Climb region. It gets marked on the map when unfogging the area.
Complete Borderlands 4 Peak Performance Walkthrough
1. Talk to Claptrap, bro
This step will automatically complete itself once you approach Claptrap at the climbing gym.
2. Jump, climb, grapple
Look forward to where Claptrap was and you will see three platforms that literally say jump, climb, grapple. Work your way up to the hologram claptrap.
Use the X-shaped beams to the left if you're having trouble making the jumps between platforms.
3. Get up here!
Jump across the gap up to the platform ahead. Use the X shaped beams to the left if you are having trouble making the jump.
4. Find a way up
Turn around and look up and you will see a grapple point you can use to ascend further.
5. Reach goal
Instead of heading through the container ahead, hop on top and jump to the platform ahead or go through the container and use the grapple point.
Borderlands 4 Peak Performance Video Guide
If you're having trouble with any of the climbing sections, check out this video guide that demonstrates the optimal path through all three challenges:
Begin Challenge 1
Turn around and you will see the hologram claptrap ahead. Jump and grapple your way to that platform.
Jump and grapple
Jump up and grapple up to the platform way above.
Almost there…
Turn around and look up and you will see another spot to grapple to.
Complete challenge 1
Jump toward claptrap instead of the platform and you will see a grapple on the side of the platform that will bring you to the top.
Down you go
Jump down to the bottom where the platform is glowing green.
Begin Challenge 2
Jump and glide toward the next platform until you can grapple.
Glide and grapple
Again do the same and glide forward and grapple the platform with the glowing claptrap.
Grapple upward
Jump straight up and grapple up to the platform above.
Get up high!
Grapple off of Claptraps DJ chopper to a platform above and then grapple to the glowing platform.
Complete challenge 2
This one you want to do a running start and double jump and glide until you can grapple again.
Begin Challenge 3
Grapple Claptrap's DJ chopper again to start the final challenge.
Flip and grip!
Use the grapple point straight ahead and then turn around and grapple upward.
Complete challenge 3
From this platform you have to grapple ahead to the beams and immediately grapple the second beam. Turn around and jump-glide forward and you will be able to grapple another beam. Land on the platform ahead with the claptrap glowing on it by gliding forward.
