How to Unlock Flat Kairoser in Borderlands 4
Complete A Lot to Process
You must first complete the "A Lot to Process" main story mission before the Flat Kairoser side quest becomes available.
Borderlands 4 Skeptical Sam Location
Once unlocked, you can start the side mission by talking to Skeptical Sam outside his shack, under a rock arch in the western part of Cuspid Climb.
Sam is a quirky character who believes the world of Pandora is actually flat, and he needs your help to prove his "Flat Kairoser" theory.

1. Take Flat Kairos
Accept the Quest
Once you've accepted the quest, listen to Skeptical Sam's conspiracy theory about Pandora being flat and take the flat Kairos from him.
Stomp the Globe
He will then ask you to stomp the globe on top of the rock. Get on top of his shack, double jump, and perform a ground slam on the globe to "prove" it's flat.
Reach the Shrine
Follow Sam, then climb the mountain using your grappling hook and reach the shrine on the right side of the cliff face.
2. Collect Surveying Equipment
Wrecked Ship Location
Head to the wrecked ship just north of Sam's shack. Be prepared for combat, as there are hostile enemies in the area!
First Two Surveying Equipment
Collect three surveying equipment pieces. The first two are in the northwest corner of the area. One is next to a porta potty and the other under a ruined building.
Third Surveying Equipment
For the third surveying equipment, climb on top of the ruined building using your grappling hook and glide to the wing. It will be near the tip of the wing, next to the ammo cache.
Climbable Wall Location
With all surveying equipment collected, find a suitable launch site. From the wrecked ship, head east to a climbable wall on the side of the mountain just past the road.
Launch Site
Climb the mountain and make your way south through the village until you reach a large animal skeleton that serves as the launch site.
Activate Surveyors
Place the atmospheric surveyors on the skeleton, then activate each one to launch them into the air. These will collect "evidence" for Sam's theory.
3. Find the Balloons
First Balloon Location
Follow the balloons. The first balloon is on the side of the road with pink trees, located north of Cuspid Climb and southeast of The Shredded Summit. Shoot the balloon, then retrieve the data from the surveyor.
Second Balloon Location
For the next balloons, drive past Cloudbank heading north, then take the left turn. The second balloon will be destroyed by the Order, but the third will be stuck on an antenna on the right side of the road.
Retrieve Third Balloon
Use your grappling hook to free the balloon from the antenna and retrieve the data from the surveyor. Be careful of enemies that may spawn during this process.
4. Talk to Sam
Sam's Hideout Location
Travel to Sam's hideout in the Gilded Drop, southeast of Stoneblood Forest. You'll need to climb up using your grappling hook to reach his secluded spot.
Upload Photos
Talk to Sam and upload the first photo to his computer. The first photo will have the cap on. Next, upload the second photo, which will show the globe this time.
Mission Completion
Watch the final cutscene where Sam's theories are either validated or debunked (no spoilers here!) to complete the mission.
