To start the Droning On side mission, you must first complete the "Carried Away" mission by talking to Naver in the Idolator's Noose area.

After completing that prerequisite, head to the southeastern pier area of Idolator's Noose where you'll find C.H.A.D. (Combat Helper and Decoy) hanging from a beam, waiting for rescue.

Step 1: Talk to C.H.A.D.

Locate C.H.A.D. hanging from a beam at the pier in Idolator's Noose. Approach and interact with the drone to initiate conversation.

Pro Tip:

Before starting the mission, clear the area of any enemies to avoid interruptions during the dialogue sequence.

Step 2: Free C.H.A.D. from the Beam

Use a melee attack to free C.H.A.D. from the beam it's hanging from. The drone will then follow you as a temporary companion.

Combat Note:

C.H.A.D. will provide limited combat support during this mission, drawing enemy fire and occasionally attacking foes.

Step 3: Escort C.H.A.D. to the Target Location

Navigate to the marked target location southeast of the pier. You must travel on foot as summoning any vehicle will cause you to drop C.H.A.D., forcing you to restart this segment.

Navigation Tip:

Stick to the main path but be prepared for ambushes. The route is mostly linear but has several cover points you can use during firefights.

Step 4: Clear the Psycho Camp

Along your route, you'll encounter a psycho camp filled with hostile enemies. Eliminate all psychos to proceed safely with C.H.A.D.

Combat Strategy:

Use area-of-effect weapons to handle groups of psychos. Keep C.H.A.D. protected during combat, as too much damage may temporarily disable the drone.

Psycho Camp Enemy Composition:

• 5x Standard Psychos
• 2x Badass Psychos
• 1x Psycho Firestarter
• 3x Psycho Marauders

Step 5: Place C.H.A.D. at the Designated Spot

After clearing the psycho camp, drop down onto the beach and place C.H.A.D. by the pile of fish at the marked location. Listen to C.H.A.D.'s final dialogue to complete the mission.

Completion Note:

After mission completion, C.H.A.D. may appear as a vendor in Sanctuary III, offering unique equipment in future gameplay sessions.
